With a Word
With a word, it began. The sound moved through the dark waters, The marriage of mother and father, The marriage of darkness and light, Coming together so that it might, Create, expand, grow, be. At first there was nothing, then there was everything, From the far reaches of the universe to the very depths of your soul, expanding, growing, forever. How it began, even it doesn't know. How could it? You can't bite your own teeth, You can't see your own eyes, except in a mirror, So that's what it did, It created a mirror, To know itself, To grow itself, to be, to have, to know, even if only for a little while. We are that mirror, looking at itself, trying to know itself, but also trying to forget that it, and we, are infinite.
